Abstract
Agriculture is an important industry in all economies since it provides basic needs and feeds people. With the improvements of its productivity and increasing globalization, the shares of the total outputs (or GDPs) and employments from the agriculture industry have been increasingly less in many countries, including both developed and developing countries. How to stabilize and improve this important industry during its economic structure change is a challenging issue to many countries. This paper compares the agriculture industry in different countries and focuses on how developing countries like China can learn from other developed countries on strengthening and improving their own agriculture industry.
